Zéfal DT Armor XL protection

The Zéfal DT Armor XL protection is a self-adhesive protection designed specifically for the diagonal tube of your mountain bike or E-MTB. Its thickness and robustness provide superior protection to thinner transparent adhesive films like their Skin Armor. With good absorbency, it is effective against impacts and stone projections while reducing noise. Resistant to water, scratches, friction, peeling, as well as UV and temperature variations, it ensures great durability.

This flexible protection with generous dimensions is universal and compatible with all types of frames, regardless of material. Particularly suitable for tubes with large sections up to 90 mm wide, it is ideal for riders keen to protect their bike and preserve its resale value.

Installation Instructions

1. Turn the bike over for better installation visibility.
2. Present the protection on the frame in order to anticipate a possible cut or adjustment.
3. Wash your hands.
4. Clean the frame with a product such as window cleaner.
5. Peel off the adhesive protection.
6. Glue the protection on one side in the central part.
7. Gradually glue the central part of the protection moving along the frame.
8. Glue the sides of the protection starting from the central part.
9. Rub the protection with a soft cloth to ensure uniform bonding and remove potentially trapped air.

Removal or replacement

1. Do not heat with a hairdryer.
2. Start to lift one of the ends, taking care to peel off the two constituent layers of the product.
3. Pull on the product slowly then roll it over itself.
4. Proceed until you have completely removed the protection.
5. If glue residue is still present, clean it with a “white spirit” type product (ACETONE-free).

Usage tips

For better compatibility with the geometry of your bike or for use on an electrically assisted bike with an integrated battery, the product can be recut.
