The Fizik Vento Antares R3 Adaptive 2024 saddle represents the next generation of racing saddles with a modern design. Featuring revolutionary 3D printed adaptive padding, it offers increased comfort. These paddings adapt to the cyclist's needs in different areas of the saddle: a softer tip better distributes pressure over a larger area when climbing or turning, a firmer central part transfers power efficiently to the pedals, and a softer rear section absorbs vibrations and stabilizes the rider. The different areas of the saddle correspond to your different handlebar grips and posture adjustments. The wider, shorter and slightly curved shell of the Antares saddle provides excellent support when pedaling. The flatter, wider tip makes it easier to move around in the saddle while also being the perfect place to transfer maximum power to the pedals when you need to really push down.
This 3D printed bicycle saddle has a carbon-reinforced nylon shell and Kium hollow rails offering an excellent strength-to-weight ratio.
This is a performance bicycle saddle with revolutionary 3D printed padding providing well-designed zoned cushioning.
The evolution of 3D printing has made it possible to develop a new saddle without the restrictions imposed by traditional manufacturing methods and materials. The adaptive saddle padding is manufactured by Carbon using revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis technology. DLS is an additive manufacturing process that uses digital ultraviolet light projection, oxygen-permeable optics, and programmable liquid resins to produce parts with excellent mechanical properties, high resolution, and superior surface finish.
Thanks to carbon technology, bio-mechanists and engineers have an unprecedented opportunity: to design and manufacture multiple functional zones in the saddle, each individually adjusted for specific mechanical properties. Each of these key functional areas is designed with significant cushioning and mechanical response, combined progressively and smoothly within the same cushioning.
The saddle is suitable for cyclists with a moderately flexible spine. The flexibility of the spine is lower and depends on your physical condition. You sit on the bike in a slightly upright position - the weight is distributed between the pelvic bones and crotch. The pelvis rotates slightly.
