The Elite Avanti is a direct-drive smart trainer that combines precision, advanced connectivity, and a natural pedaling feel. Its integrated power meter offers a claimed accuracy of ±1%, while its electromagnetic resistance allows it to simulate gradients of up to 18% and generate a maximum power output of 2,100 W at 40 km/h. With built-in Wi-Fi, Race Mode, automatic calibration, and Flex Feet, the Avanti provides a complete solution for indoor cycling training.
The Elite Avanti is compatible with road bikes, gravel bikes, mountain bikes, and city bikes. Adapters for most common standards are included, while other configurations can be used with separately available adapters.
With its pre-installed freehub body, the Elite Avanti accepts various Shimano and SRAM drivetrains. Specific freehub bodies are also available separately to expand its compatibility.
The Avanti's integrated power sensor measures power with a claimed accuracy of ±1%. Combined with electromagnetic resistance, the trainer can simulate gradients of up to 18% and reach a maximum power output of 2,100 W at 40 km/h.
The calibration is fully automatic in order to maintain the performance of the home trainer without requiring manual intervention before sessions.
The Avanti incorporates several features designed to improve responsiveness and control during training sessions. Race Mode accelerates data transmission to more quickly track power variations during training and virtual competitions.
The Easy Start function makes it easy to resume intervals after a short break, while Power Smoothing offers four power data display modes in ERG mode via My E-Training. On Zwift, the Supertuck function quickly resets power data when the rider stops pedaling so the platform can detect this.
The black Flex Feet supplied with the Avanti allow for a 4.5° oscillating movement. They follow the natural movements of the bike while pedaling to make the position less static during indoor training.
For cyclists looking for a different feel, Elite also offers separately red Flex Feet providing a 7° oscillation.
Thanks to its built-in Wi-Fi, the Avanti can be connected directly to your home network and automatically update itself. Dual-channel Bluetooth allows you to connect two Bluetooth devices simultaneously, such as a bike computer alongside your training app.
The Bridge function allows you to connect a heart rate monitor or cadence sensor to the trainer and transmit their data to the app via FE-C ANT+ or FTMS BLE using a single connection. The Avanti can also create a virtual heart rate monitor to retransmit data via Bluetooth when a protocol is not directly compatible with the app being used.
The Elite Avanti offers two stand-alone modes. When the trainer is powered, it's possible to preset a gradient of up to 18%. Without power, the cyclist can select from 16 resistance levels to continue training without an app.
The Avanti can also be upgraded to a Zwift Cog and Click configuration. After a firmware update via Upgrado, the cassette can be replaced with the Zwift Cog and the Zwift Click can be installed on the handlebars to access the virtual shifting functions offered by Zwift.
The Elite Avanti communicates with indoor cycling apps via ANT+ FE-C, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. Elite specifically mentions compatibility with Zwift, MyWhoosh, Rouvy, Kinomap, and My E-Training. The purchase of the trainer also includes a 12-month subscription to My E-Training.
