The Shimano RC810 White shoes are designed for cyclists looking for a stiff, precise road shoe that remains comfortable even after long rides. This new generation incorporates several features developed for the S-PHYRE range to deliver high performance in both training and competition.
Their construction combines the new SHIMANO DYNALAST 2.0 fit, a stiff carbon midsole, and two BOA Li2 dials. The overall design aims to effectively support the foot while maintaining sufficient space in the forefoot to prevent excessive compression.
With DYNALAST 2.0 , Shimano has evolved the internal shape of its racing shoes. The forefoot benefits from increased volume to allow the toes to adopt a more natural position while pedaling.
The RC810 is available in narrow, standard, or wide widths . This approach allows you to choose the shoe based on your foot shape rather than simply increasing your shoe size for more space.
The closure system uses two BOA Li2 dials, allowing for independent adjustment of the foot's fit. Combined with the wraparound upper, this system distributes the pressure and allows for quick, minor adjustments.
An external stabilizer at the heel completes the construction in order to limit unwanted foot movements during accelerations, restarts and out-of-the-saddle transitions.
The hollow-structure carbon midsole provides the expected stiffness in a performance-oriented road shoe. Its design aims to efficiently transfer power to the pedal while also contributing to ventilation and water drainage.
Shimano also uses a low-profile architecture to bring the foot closer to the pedaling axis and provide a direct connection feel with the pedal.
This generation of RC810 adopts the new Shimano SPD-SLR road interface. In particular, it offers a wider cleat positioning range, which is useful for more precisely adapting their setback to the rider's position.
Such a rigid shoe deserves careful cleat adjustment: their position directly influences comfort, foot stability and pedaling sensations.
The DYNALAST 2.0 fit offers more room in the forefoot than the previous generation. The Standard width will suit most cyclists, while the Narrow and Wide versions allow for a more precise adjustment of the shoe's volume to the foot's shape.
LVR Cycles tip: if your foot isn't particularly wide, start with the Standard fit. The extra volume provided by DYNALAST 2.0 in the toe area often means you won't need to automatically switch to a Wide version.
