And yet, that's what the 808 Firecrest Disc Brake Wheelset achieves: speed, stability, and tubeless compatibility. That means you get all the aero goodness with the ability to run lower tire pressure for more cornering grip and forgiveness, and reduced rolling resistance without the risk of pinch flats. You also get the unrivaled stopping power of disc brakes. This wheelset features many technologies developed in our Advanced Research Lab in Indianapolis. Zipp 's ABLC™ Sawtooth™ technology uses a complex dimple pattern to improve aerodynamic efficiency. At the heart of the 808 Firecrest tubeless disc brakes is the ZR1 DB, a versatile and robust new hub designed in Germany. This Zipp 808 Firecrest wheelset features Zipp 's new aesthetic for combining speed and style on the bike.

XDR™

The XDR™ driver body is a universal mounting system for cassettes that incorporates cogs with fewer than 11 teeth. It allows for lighter and more versatile drivetrains without requiring new rear axle standards, cassette tools or hub redesigns. The XDR™ interface is 1.85mm longer than XD™ and is designed for road hub applications. XDR™ driver bodies are compatible with all XD™ cassettes when the cassette is installed with a 1.85mm spacer.
