The FX+ 2 LT entrusts the assistance to a 40 Nm Hyena motor built into the rear hub, triggered by a torque sensor at the bottom bracket, and stows its 250 Wh battery in the down tube. The Alpha Gold frame comes fitted with SKS mudguards, a 25 kg MIK rear rack and a kickstand, and Shimano hydraulic disc brakes ensure you stop in all weathers.

In other words: the FX+ 2 LT is the lightest fully equipped Trek e-bike in this selection, at 17.75 kg in M with its accessories. It suits urban and suburban journeys; for long, steep climbs, the TQ motor on the FX+ 7 offers more torque.
Viper Red isn't just a matter of taste: a bright colour is easier to spot from the front and side than black or grey, and the reflective sidewalls of the H2 Comp tyres complete your visibility in headlights. We recommend adding good front and rear lights for riding in winter.
On the morning commute, the torque sensor triggers the Hyena motor's assistance from the very first pedal strokes, without any jerk, and cuts it at 25 km/h. The SKS mudguards protect your clothes after a shower, and the 25 kg rear rack takes a work pannier.

Our take: at 17.75 kg in M, this red FX+ 2 LT offers the same base as the blue and black versions; only the colour changes. The previous FX+ 2 (17.69 kg) keeps a 9-speed cassette; the FX+ 7 targets the hills with 50 Nm.
