The Allant+ 6, the well-equipped electric trekking bike. On a straight-top-tube hydroformed alloy frame, the Allant+ 6 combines the Bosch Performance Line CX motor with the Bosch smart system and the Kiox 300 display. Trek has fitted it with a thru-axle Mobie 34 fork with adjustable rebound and compression, four-piston brakes and 57 mm Schwalbe G-One tyres: enough to go from road to gravel tracks without changing bikes.

The 545 Wh battery suits urban commuting and makes the bike lighter than the 800 Wh version. The Kiox 300 display shows speed, battery level and mode, and connects to the Bosch eBike Flow app for updates.

The Shimano four-piston brakes, with a 203 mm rotor at the front, offer reassuring power on a loaded bike. The 57 mm Schwalbe G-One tyres on Kovee Tubeless Ready rims roll well on the road and grip on gravel; the motor's assistance stops at 25 km/h.

Our take: with 545 Wh, the Allant+ 6 remains the lightest version to handle. The 800 Wh battery is aimed at long days out; the simpler Allant+ 5 Lowstep makes do with 9 speeds and a Purion control for 24.30 kg in M.
