The top-of-the-range derailleur Charter+. The Charter+ 5 R10 keeps the step-through Alpha Platinum aluminium frame, but moves up a notch on every component: a 90 Nm Bosch Performance Line PX motor, a Kiox 500 display, an SR Suntour Mobie 34 air-sprung fork, Shimano MT420 brakes on 180 and 203 mm rotors and a seatpost with adjustable springs. The 800 Wh battery completes the package.

| What it means | Easier on hills and with loads | Gentle assistance, simplicity | No more gears to choose |
In short: this is the most complete derailleur-equipped Charter+, with the highest torque in the range and the big battery. Trek quotes 31.20 kg in size M, which is 0.50 kg less than the Charter+ 4 R9 800 Wh.
The 90 Nm of the PX motor, compared with 75 Nm on the Charter+ 4 models, is most noticeable when pulling away on a slope and on short ramps: the street up to Saint-Nazaire cathedral can be climbed seated, at a steady pace. The Kiox 500 display shows speed, mode and battery level within your line of sight.
The CUES LG400 11-48 cassette and U6000 GS derailleur give one more gear than the R9 version, with a 48-tooth largest sprocket for setting off loaded. The Shimano MT420 brakes work on 180 and 203 mm rotors: enough to stay in control on the descent that follows.
| Model | Motor / battery | Drivetrain | Fork | Weight (size) |
| Charter+ 5 R10 540 Wh Lowstep | Bosch Performance Line PX 90 Nm / 540 Wh | Shimano CUES 10-speed | Mobie 34 air 80 mm | 30.30 kg (M) |
| Charter+ 5 R10 800 Wh Lowstep | Bosch Performance Line PX 90 Nm / 800 Wh | Shimano CUES 10-speed | Mobie 34 air 80 mm | 31.20 kg (M) |
| Charter+ 4 R9 800 Wh Lowstep | Bosch Performance Line 75 Nm / 800 Wh | Shimano CUES 9-speed | 63 mm coil | 31.70 kg (M) |
| Charter+ 5 Auto 800 Wh Lowstep | Bosch Performance Line PX 90 Nm / 800 Wh | Automatic Enviolo + belt | Mobie 34 air 80 mm | 31.50 kg (M) |
Our take: at 31.20 kg in M, this R10 800 Wh weighs 0.50 kg less than the R9 800 Wh, while adding the PX motor, an air fork and the Kiox display. The Charter+ 5 Auto 800 Wh (31.50 kg) keeps this motor with an automatic hub.

LVR sizing advice You get onto the Lowstep frame from the front, without lifting your leg: the size is chosen mainly on saddle height and reach. Trek's ranges overlap between M and L (170 to 173 cm); in that case, the smaller size gives a more upright position and the larger one more room for long rides. The height-adjustable stem then fine-tunes the position.
