Amflow PX Carbon Pro – Avinox M2S carbon e-MTB 150 Nm 700 Wh

THE Amflow PX Carbon Pro is a high-end carbon e-MTB designed for riders who are looking for the performance of a true All-Mountain / Enduro mountain bike, with extremely powerful assistance but without the weight and inertia usually associated with Full Power e-MTBs.

Its architecture combines the engine Avinox M2S, capable of delivering up to 150 Nm maximum torque and up to 1500 W peak power, with an integrated battery of 700 Wh. The bike also features a carbon frame weighing approximately 2.4 kg and FOX Factory suspension offering 160 mm of travel at the front and 150 mm at the rear, an electronic transmission SRAM X0 Eagle Transmission and carbon wheels in Mullet 29"/27.5" configuration.

After trying it out at LVR Cycles, However, it wasn't just the engine's power that impressed us. The PX Carbon Pro is Lively, easy to position, maneuverable and particularly playful. Despite its very high level of assistance, it retains a behavior that really makes you want to drive.

150 Nm, 1500 W and 700 Wh: what's the difference ?

These three values describe three different characteristics of the bicycle. It is important not to confuse them.

150 Nm

Maximum engine torque

Newton-meters indicate the available rotational force. This torque reserve is particularly useful on steep inclines, during acceleration, and when tackling technical terrain.

1500 W

Peak engine power

Watts here indicate the maximum instantaneous power the system can achieve under certain conditions. They do not indicate the bike's range.

700 Wh

Battery energy capacity

Watt-hours indicate the amount of energy the battery can store. This value directly affects the available driving range.

Our advice LVR Cycles Before you buy: Amflow mountain bikes run small

This is the most important point to know before ordering: across its entire mountain bike range, Amflow runs significantly smaller than most other brands. This is not unique to the PX Carbon Pro nor an impression based on an isolated test: it is a characteristic of the entire range.

The most telling proof: Amflow does not offer a size S in mountain biking., simply because the M already plays this role. At the other end of the spectrum, we find a XXL — a size that exists almost nowhere else — precisely because the XL Amflow is actually equivalent to a standard L.

In practice, if you know your usual size with most brands, always count one size larger than Amflow :

Your usual size (other brands)Equivalent Amflow size

M L
L XL
XL XXL

The pilot size chart provided by Amflow (further down this page) remains your primary reference, along with your actual measurements. However, keep this difference in mind, especially if you fall between two sizes: in this case, We almost always recommend choosing the next size up..

If in doubt, contact LVR Cycles With your height, inseam, current bike and riding style, we can guide you precisely.

Who is the Amflow PX Carbon Pro for ?

The PX Carbon Pro is designed for the pilot who is looking for a high-performance e-MTB for challenging trail riding, all-mountain and enduro.

Its philosophy differs from that of a touring e-MTB. Here, the priority is given to handling: plenty of power when the terrain demands it, but also a low weight, modern geometry and a chassis capable of retaining true mountain biking sensations.

It will be particularly suitable for riders who ride on technical terrain with elevation changes, difficult climbs and descents where the precision of the bike becomes as important as the performance of the motor.

Avinox M2S: understanding the 150 Nm of torque

THE engine torque is expressed in newton-meters, abbreviated Nm. It represents the rotational force that the motor can provide to pedaling.

The Avinox M2S develops 130 Nm nominal torque and can reach 150 Nm maximum torque. This reserve becomes particularly useful when restarting on a steep slope, crossing a step, or maintaining significant assistance on a very steep climb.

However, a high torque value does not mean that all that force is constantly sent to the wheel. The sensors and algorithms of the Avinox system adapt the assistance to the pedaling effort in order to maintain a smooth and usable power delivery.

What does the 1500W peak power mean ?

THE watts (W) These indicate the instantaneous power of the motor. The Avinox M2S can reach up to 1500 W peak power under the conditions provided for by the system.

150 Nm = maximum engine torque.
1500 W = peak motor power.
700 Wh = battery energy capacity.

Boost mode allows, in particular, temporary access to the system's maximum performance when the terrain requires particularly high levels of assistance.

FP700 battery: what does the 700 Wh really mean ?

The PX Carbon Pro has an integrated battery Avinox FP700 of an energy capacity of 700 Wh.

Watt-hours represent the amount of energy that can be stored. This value is therefore directly related to the energy available to power the bicycle, and not to the instantaneous power of the motor.

  • Energy capacity: 700 Wh
  • Weight : approximately 3.18 kg
  • Kind : integrated battery
  • Charger: Avinox Fast Charger 508 W / 12 A

The choice of 700 Wh directly contributes to the philosophy of the PX: to offer a large capacity while maintaining a particularly light bike for a Full Power e-MTB.

What battery life can we realistically expect from the PX Carbon Pro ?

There is no single range that applies to all riders. With electric mountain biking, the number of kilometers can even be misleading: a short ride with a lot of elevation gain can consume more energy than a much longer ride on flat terrain.

Autonomy depends in particular on elevation gain, rider weight, assistance mode, rider power output, terrain, temperature, tire pressure, and Boost mode usage all affect performance..

For reference, Amflow advertises up to 144 km in Eco mode in its test protocol on flat roads with an 80 kg rider. This value should be considered as a standardized measurement and not as a promise of range in mountain biking use.

At the house of LVR Cycles, Therefore, we prefer to reason based on your actual practice rather than promising a fixed number of kilometers.

Avinox 508W Fast Charging

The PX Carbon Pro uses the Avinox 508W / 12A fast charger.

Here again, the units should not be confused: the 508 W corresponds to the power of the charger, while the 700 Wh corresponds to the battery's energy capacity.

With the FP700 battery, Amflow announces approximately 1 hour 16 minutes to go from 0 to 80% with the 508W charger. This fast charging allows you to recover a significant amount of energy during a break.

160 mm front and 150 mm rear: for what type of terrain ?

The PX Carbon Pro has 160 mm of front suspension travel And 150 mm rear wheel travel.

Suspension travel refers to the distance the suspension can travel to absorb wheel movement. The rougher the terrain, the more this capacity helps maintain traction, comfort, and control.

The Carbon Pro version receives a FOX 36 Factory with GRIP X2 cartridge and 160 mm of travel. At the rear, the FOX Float X Factory in 210 × 55mm works with the 150mm of chassis travel.

210 × 55 mm corresponds to the dimensions of the shock absorber. 150 mm corresponds to the rear wheel travel.

Which SAG should be used as a starting point ?

The basic recommendation is approximately 15 to 20% sag at the fork And 25 to 30% at the rear shock absorber.

SAG refers to the amount of suspension travel when the rider is seated on the bike in the riding position. Adjusting the sag setting to the rider's weight is essential for optimal suspension performance.

Why a 29-inch wheel in the front and a 27.5-inch wheel in the rear ?

This combination is called Mullet.

The front wheel of 29 inches The rear wheel of 27.5 inches, more compact, promotes maneuverability and makes it easier to move the rear of the bike.

This is precisely one of the characteristics that, in our opinion, contributes to the character of the PX: despite its Full Power engine, It remains lively, easy to reposition and particularly pleasant to fly.

40 geometry configurations: what are they used for ?

The PX has a particularly adaptable geometry. Three parameters can be modified: 5 steering angle positions, , 2 bottom bracket height positions And 4 base length positions.

Combining these settings theoretically allows us to obtain up to 40 geometry configurations.

Steering angle

The original setting is 64.2°. The cups allow for a variation of -1°, -0.5°, 0°, +0.5° or +1°. A more open angle favors stability as speed increases, while a more closed angle makes steering more responsive and can improve uphill performance.

Bottom bracket height

A higher bottom bracket increases ground clearance on rough terrain. A lower position lowers the center of gravity and can improve grip and cornering performance.

Base length

The chainstays have several positions to adapt the bike's handling. Shorter chainstays generally favor responsiveness, while a longer configuration provides more stability.

Advice LVR : The 40 configurations don't mean you have to modify the bike before every ride. The original configuration already provides an excellent starting point. These settings primarily allow experienced riders to fine-tune the bike's handling to suit their terrain and preferences.

SRAM X0 Eagle Transmission: an electronic transmission

The PX Carbon Pro receives a SRAM X0 Eagle 12-speed electronic transmission. The report changes are controlled from the SRAM AXS Pod Rocker, without a traditional mechanical cable between the control and the derailleur.

The cassette SRAM XS-1295 10-52 teeth offers a particularly large range, suitable for both steep climbs and fast sections.

  • Derailleur: SRAM X0 Eagle Transmission
  • Speeds: 12
  • Order : SRAM AXS Pod Rocker
  • Cassette: SRAM XS-1295 10-52
  • Chain : SRAM X0 Eagle Transmission
  • Plateau : 38 teeth
  • Cranks: Avinox SL
  • Crank arm length M/L: 155 mm
  • XL/XXL crank length: 160 mm

Magura Gustav Pro: braking adapted for Enduro

The PX Carbon Pro uses Magura Gustav Pro four-piston hydraulics with large discs suitable for aggressive e-MTB use.

On an e-MTB designed for fast mountain riding, braking power alone is not enough: the system must also maintain consistency when braking is repeated on a long descent.

Amflow XMC-30 carbon wheels

The Carbon Pro finish receives Amflow XMC-30 carbon wheels with an internal width of 30 mm and Tubeless Ready compatibility.

  • Before : 29-inch carbon, 30mm internal
  • Back : 27.5-inch carbon, 30mm internal

Schwalbe Magic Mary and Albert Radial

  • Before : Schwalbe Magic Mary Radial 29 × 2.5 Gravity Pro Ultra Soft
  • Back : Schwalbe Albert Radial 27.5 × 2.5 Gravity Pro Addix Soft

The front tire prioritizes grip and steering control. At the rear, the tire must simultaneously manage traction, braking, and the significant torque transmitted by the engine.

Telescopic seat post

The telescopic seatpost allows the saddle to be lowered from the handlebars before a descent or technical section. This gives the rider greater freedom to move their body around the bike.

  • M: 190 mm
  • L : 190 mm
  • XL: 210 mm
  • XXL: 230 mm
  • Stroke adjustment: 0 / 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 mm

OLED screen, GPS and Avinox Ride

The Avinox system connects the bicycle to a 2-inch color OLED screen and to the Avinox Ride app.

The ecosystem allows users to utilize various navigation, tracking, and system customization features. Offline navigation is particularly useful for mountain biking when a route has been prepared beforehand in an unfamiliar area.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Amflow PX Carbon Pro

What is the difference between 150 Nm, 1500 W and 700 Wh ?

150 Nm corresponds to the maximum torque of the engine. 1500 W corresponds to its maximum peak power. 700 Wh corresponds to the amount of energy that can be stored in the battery.

Is 700 Wh enough for a powerful e-MTB ?

The choice of a 700 Wh battery allows the PX to maintain a particularly low weight for a full-power e-MTB. Actual range then depends heavily on elevation gain, rider weight, assistance level, and terrain.

Is the PX Carbon Pro suitable for Enduro ?

Yes. Its 160/150 mm suspension, adjustable geometry, Mullet assembly, Gravity tires and high-end equipment clearly make it suitable for serious Trail, All-Mountain and Enduro riding.

Why use a 29-inch wheel in the front and a 27.5-inch wheel in the rear ?

The 29-inch front wheel prioritizes climbing ability and stability. The 27.5-inch rear wheel provides greater maneuverability. This combination is called a Mullet.

Should all 40 geometry settings be used ?

No. The original settings already provide an excellent starting point. The numerous adjustment options are especially useful for experienced riders to precisely customize the bike's handling.

What size should I choose if I am between two sizes ?

After our trial at LVR Cycles, The PX seems relatively compact to us. When a rider is truly between two sizes, we tend to recommend the larger size. However, we advise you to confirm your choice based on your body type, your current bike, and your riding style.

What is the difference between PX Carbon and PX Carbon Pro ?

Both bikes share the same platform. However, the Carbon Pro receives significantly higher-end components, notably with FOX Factory suspension, transmission SRAM X0 Eagle Transmission and XMC-30 carbon wheels.

Our opinion LVR Cycles on the Amflow PX Carbon Pro

On paper, the figures of the PX Carbon Pro immediately attract attention: up to 150 Nm of torque, up to 1,500 W of peak power, a 700 Wh battery and a starting weight of around 20.6 kg.

After testing, however, these figures do not best summarize the bike.

What convinced us most was its overall balance. The PX is easy to handle, responsive in changes of direction and surprisingly easy to maneuver for a Full Power e-MTB.

The Mullet setup contributes to this feeling: the 29-inch wheels provide traction and stability at the front, while the 27.5-inch rear wheels retain plenty of responsiveness.

The Avinox M2S then provides considerable reserve when the slope becomes really steep. But the true success of the PX, in our opinion, lies in having integrated this level of performance. without taking away the pleasure of riding a real mountain bike.

We would recommend the PX Carbon Pro to the rider who is looking for a Full Power e-MTB for real mountain riding, but who refuses to sacrifice the handling and dynamic behavior of the bike.
