Kovee RSL carbon wheels, one-piece RSL bar-stem, Aeolus RSL saddle and OCLV Mountain SLR frame: the Gen 2 Trek Supercaliber SLR 9.9 XTR Di2 collects Trek's lightest parts to reach 10.58 kg in size M. It stays faithful to conventional suspension, 110 mm at the front and 80 mm at the rear. The Red Smoke/Drizzle colour features a deep smoky red scattered with a light speckle reminiscent of drizzle.

For the XC racer who wants a very light bike but prefers simple suspension, with no extra sensors or batteries, and likes to operate the lockouts themselves. It will also suit the rider moving from a race hardtail to a full-suspension bike without wanting to gain weight.
OCLV carbon, Trek's signature. The OCLV principle consists of compacting the carbon layers under heat and pressure to eliminate micro-voids: fewer defects, and therefore less material needed for a given stiffness. In mountain biking, Trek adapts it under the name OCLV Mountain, with a layup designed to take knocks. The 9.9 XTR Di2 gets the SLR level, the lightest, and Trek's lifetime warranty on the frame.
| OCLV Mountain SLR | OCLV Mountain SL | Alpha Platinum alloy (Procaliber 6 / 8) | |
| Level | Trek's most advanced mountain bike carbon | Standard MTB carbon, same geometry | Trek premium aluminium |
| Construction | OCLV process, layup refined to the maximum | OCLV process, slightly more material | Hydroforming, smoothed welds |
| Reference bike | Supercaliber SLR 9.8 and 9.9 | Supercaliber SL 9.6 and 9.7 | Procaliber 6 and 8 (hardtails) |
| What it means | Lighter frame, reserved for high-end builds | Same IsoStrut, slightly heavier frame | Heavier, no rear suspension |
Put simply: with an identical frame, this 9.9 XTR Di2 is the Supercaliber for Shimano loyalists. It weighs 300 g more than the 9.9 XX Flight Attendant, lacking electronically controlled suspension and equally light wheels, but it keeps conventional dampers with handlebar remotes, which are simpler to live with.
The one-piece OCLV carbon RSL bar-stem does away with the clamp between handlebar and stem: fewer parts, and a stiff, precise cockpit for placing the front wheel to the centimetre. Its 750 mm width gives good control without getting in the way between the trees on narrow singletrack.
For a rider used to a hardtail, the IsoStrut is a gentle transition: only 80 mm of travel, pedalling behaviour very close to a rigid bike, but a rear wheel that stays glued to the ground over roots. On the loops around Lodève, the gain in traction is felt from the very first technical climbs.
| Model | Carbon | Drivetrain | Suspension | Weight (M) |
| Supercaliber SLR 9.8 XT Di2 | OCLV Mountain SLR | Shimano XT Di2 | SID SL Ultimate / SIDLuxe | 11.58 kg |
| Supercaliber SLR 9.8 X0 Flight Attendant | OCLV Mountain SLR | SRAM X0 AXS + power meter | Flight Attendant | 11.28 kg |
| Supercaliber SLR 9.9 XTR Di2 | OCLV Mountain SLR | Shimano XTR Di2 | SID SL Ultimate / SIDLuxe | 10.58 kg |
| Supercaliber SLR 9.9 XX Flight Attendant | OCLV Mountain SLR | SRAM XX SL AXS | Flight Attendant | 10.28 kg |
Our take: compared with a race hardtail such as the Procaliber, this 9.9 XTR Di2 adds rear suspension for a modest weight of 10.58 kg in M. To go even lighter, the 9.9 XX Flight Attendant weighs 10.28 kg.

LVR sizing advice If you are between two sizes, take the smaller one for a lively bike on twisting singletrack, the larger one if your races include long fast-rolling sections. Cranks go from 170 to 175 mm in L and XL, and the Fox Transfer SL post from 100 to 150 mm.

| Coming from a hardtail? | Yes, it is the full-suspension bike that pedals most like a hardtail. |
| Can the handlebar be changed? | The one-piece RSL comes in several stem lengths depending on size; we will advise you. |
| Are carbon wheels fragile? | The Kovee RSLs are designed for XC; suitable tubeless pressure protects them. |
| Does the red fade in the sun? | The paint is protected by a lacquer; regular rinsing is enough. |
