The Shimano Dura-Ace PD-R9100 clipless pedals are light, stiff and robust components that are very popular. They are equipped with a very light carbon body, but also very rigid and resistant. The pedal has a one-sided SPD-SL click mechanism, which can be combined with different cleats, and a release angle of 35°. To protect the contact surface of the pedal, a special stainless steel cover is also included.

These pedals are designed for road, triathlon and time trial use. They are of the clip pedal type, with an SPD-SL system and a three-hole mounting for the cleats. The body of the pedal is in carbon, while the axle is in nickel-chrome steel. Pedal height is 14.6mm and freedom of movement is 2°, with 6° or 0° options available. The recommended cleats are the SM-SH10, SM-SH11 and SM-SH12, and the distance between the center of the pedal and the crank arm is 52mm.

The series of these pedals is the Dura-Ace R9100, which offers an optimal ratio between weight and stiffness. The pedal body is injection molded in carbon composite for better stability and power transmission, while the bearing spacing is wider for better pressure distribution. The connection is unilateral, with a densified mechanism and an adjustable trigger threshold. The wedge screws are hollow and the finish is CFRP. As an option, it is possible to add an SM-PD63 reflector. The manufacturer number for these pedals is I-PDR9100.
