The objective of the THM Carbones brand was simple: to manufacture a very light and very comfortable seat post. Achieving this goal was extremely difficult, it was only after two years of hard work that they were satisfied with the result.

Comfort seatposts all suffer from the same problem. The further they go out of the frame, the more flexible they become. This is of course not what you want, taller (and heavier) riders shouldn't have a more flexible seat post. The Mandibula corrects this problem by dividing the post into two zones: the comfort zone and the power zone. The latter is a super stiff and lightweight structure, which barely flexes no matter how much protrudes from the frame. The comfort zone offers exactly what you would expect, the right level of comfort without becoming too much.

Thanks to THM's layout, the saddle remains horizontal throughout the flex path, unlike conventional flex seatposts, while its compact design means it also works on smaller frames and frames with a horizontal top tube . The proprietary carbon layer dampens to prevent wobble when riding at a higher cadence or on rough roads and cobblestones. This reduces rider fatigue and allows you to ride longer and with more comfort.

Thanks to THM's structure, manufacturing process and structural details such as the rail clamping mechanism, the total weight of the Mandibula Comfort Seatpost is less than most seatposts without comfort features. At 159g for a rider weighing up to 110kg, this is perhaps our most impressive piece of engineering.

The THM Mandibula seat post is approved for a total weight (bike+rider+baggage) up to 110 kg (242 lbs.) and can be used on road, gravel, cyclocross, cross-country and mountain bikes.
