For the rider who wants a comfortable, powerful electric bike with no hassle when getting on: sensitive knees, a skirt or long coat, a child to keep an eye on when stopped. It is made for the hilly neighbourhoods of Béziers.
The Verve+ 3 Lowstep, the 3rd-generation step-through frame. In Alpha Smooth aluminium, it keeps the top tube very low so that you swing your leg in front of the saddle, an invaluable move when stopped at a light or loaded with panniers. The battery disappears into the down tube and is removed with the key; the Bosch Performance Line motor is protected by a Motor Armour skid plate.
| Verve+ 2 Lowstep (400 Wh) | Verve+ 3 Lowstep (545 / 800 Wh) | Verve+ 4 Lowstep (545 / 800 Wh) | |
| Level | 75 Nm, CompactTube 400 Wh | 75 Nm, choice of two batteries | 75 Nm, choice of two batteries |
| Construction | 2.00 in tyres, integrated bar and stem | 2.40 in tyres, adjustable stem | Tubeless Ready rims, lowriser handlebar |
| Reference bike | 25.40 kg (M) | 26.59 kg (M) | 23.50 kg (M) |
| What it means | Less on-board energy | Wider tyres, choice of battery | Lockout fork, 180 mm brakes |
In other words: the Verve+ 3 Lowstep combines an easy-to-step-through frame, the 75 Nm Bosch Performance Line motor and a choice of 545 or 800 Wh battery. Trek quotes 26.59 kg in M, 700 g less than the standard-frame Verve+ 3.
The Performance Line motor delivers 75 Nm: it gives firm support on short, steep ramps, such as the streets climbing back up to Saint-Nazaire cathedral, and makes you forget the bike's weight from the first pedal stroke. The Purion 200 control lets you switch modes with your thumb.
The Shimano CUES drivetrain uses Linkglide technology: thicker cassette teeth and a dedicated chain, designed to handle the torque of an electric motor and last longer. Gear changes stay smooth, even when you shift mid-climb.
| Model | Motor | Battery | Drivetrain | Weight (size) |
| Verve+ 2 Lowstep | Bosch Performance Line 75 Nm | 400 Wh | Shimano CUES 9-speed 11-36 | 25.40 kg (M) |
| Verve+ 3 Lowstep | Bosch Performance Line 75 Nm | 545 or 800 Wh | Shimano CUES 9-speed 11-36 | 26.59 kg (M) |
| Verve+ 3 | Bosch Performance Line 75 Nm | 545 or 800 Wh | Shimano CUES 9-speed 11-36 | 27.29 kg (M) |
| Verve+ 4 Lowstep | Bosch Performance Line 75 Nm | 545 or 800 Wh | Shimano CUES 9-speed 11-46 | 23.50 kg (M) |
Our take: with 545 Wh, this Verve+ 3 Lowstep is aimed at everyday use; the 800 Wh is the obvious choice if you do a lot of long rides. The lighter Verve+ 4 Lowstep, at 23.50 kg in M, adds a lockout fork and an 11-46 cassette.

LVR sizing advice This colour is offered in L (175 to 186 cm) and XL (186 to 197 cm) according to Trek. With a step-through frame, if you are between two sizes, the smaller one makes stopping more comfortable; the 105 mm adjustable stem then fine-tunes the handlebar.
