For the rider who rides a lot during the week, sometimes morning and evening, and would rather charge the bike once or twice a week than every day. It's also for anyone who wants an understated, elegant, long-range Lowstep for every season.
The longest-range Lowstep in the range. With the Inbound+ 2 R10 LS, Trek combines the low step-over frame with the biggest battery in the family, a 600 Wh PowerTube, and the ten-speed Shimano CUES drivetrain. The Linkglide parts, thicker than on a conventional drivetrain, handle the torque of the Bosch rear hub motor well. Alpha Smooth aluminium frame.
| Shimano CUES, 10-speed (R10 LS) | Shimano ESSA, 8-speed (R8 LS) | Gates belt, 1-speed (B LS) | |
| How it works | 10 Linkglide gears | 8 gears | Single ratio, belt |
| Maintenance | Slow wear, reinforced chain | Routine maintenance | No greasing |
| Lowstep version | 22.40 kg (M), 600 Wh | 21.70 kg (M), 360 Wh | 20.50 kg (M), 360 Wh |
| What it means | Ride far, accessible frame | A good everyday compromise | The lightest, flat towns |
In short: the Inbound+ 2 R10 LS weighs 22.40 kg in M, 700 g more than the R8 LS, for an extra 240 Wh and two more gears. It's the Lowstep to choose for long rides and journeys that keep stretching.
A lithium battery lives longer when you spare it the extremes: no complete discharges, no storage at 100 % for weeks on end, no intense cold. With 600 Wh, you can stay in the middle range more easily and charge less often. In winter, if the bike stays in the garage, bring the battery in to room temperature.
The Bosch Purion 200 control shows the battery level and assistance mode at a glance; the Bosch smart system is updated via the eBike Flow app. The motor stops assisting at 25 km/h, and the CUES drivetrain ensures smooth gear changes, even when pulling away loaded.
| Model | Motor / battery | Drivetrain | Frame | Weight (size) |
| Inbound+ 2 R8 LS | Bosch hub 45 Nm / 360 Wh | Shimano ESSA 8-speed | Lowstep | 21.70 kg (M) |
| Inbound+ 2 R10 LS | Bosch hub 45 Nm / 600 Wh | Shimano CUES 10-speed | Lowstep | 22.40 kg (M) |
| Inbound+ 2 B 540 LS | Bosch hub 45 Nm / 540 Wh | Gates belt, 1-speed | Lowstep | 21.40 kg (M) |
| Inbound+ 2 R10 | Bosch hub 45 Nm / 600 Wh | Shimano CUES 10-speed | Straight | 22.60 kg (L) |
Our take: the R10 LS is the longest-range Lowstep, 22.40 kg in M for 600 Wh. The belt-drive B 540 LS comes close in energy (540 Wh) for 1 kg less, but with a single speed: a genuine choice depending on your terrain.
