For the mountain biker already riding an aluminium hardtail who wants a lighter, more compliant frame to progress in racing, or for the sporty rider who wants an understated carbon XC bike to upgrade over the seasons. This colour is offered in S, L and XL.
OCLV Mountain carbon, the off-road version. OCLV is Trek's in-house carbon process: the fibre sheets are compacted under heat and pressure to eliminate micro-voids. The Mountain version is tuned to withstand mountain bike impacts rather than chase the last gram, and the frame benefits from Trek's lifetime warranty. On the Procaliber, it comes with IsoBow: the seatstays extend beyond the seat tube, giving vertical compliance at the rear while saving weight overall.
| OCLV Mountain (Procaliber 9.x) | Alpha Platinum (Procaliber 6 / 8) | Alpha Silver (Marlin) | |
| Level | Trek's mountain bike carbon, lifetime frame warranty | High-end aluminium | Entry-level MTB aluminium |
| Construction | OCLV process, layup focused on impact resistance, IsoBow | Internal cables, threaded BSA, UDH | Simple, robust design |
| Reference bike (M) | Procaliber 9.5: 12.13 kg | Procaliber 8: 12.78 kg | Marlin 7: 14.15 kg |
| What it means | Lighter, rear end flexes over bumps | Heavier, no IsoBow | Versatile, noticeably heavier |
Put simply: the 9.5 is the entry point to carbon in the Procaliber range. At 12.13 kg in M, it is 650 g lighter than the alloy Procaliber 8 and adds IsoBow; its build remains understated (Deore, MT200 brakes, Judy Gold fork), which leaves plenty of room for upgrades.
IsoBow is felt mainly when seated, on rough tracks: the vertical flex of the rear triangle damps the small repeated jolts that tire the legs and lower back. On the garrigue trails around Béziers, littered with loose stones, you stay seated and pedalling where a rigid frame forces you to stand up.
The build is deliberately simple: Shimano MT200 brakes, Deore 10-51 cassette, Kovee alloy wheels. It is a sound, easy-to-maintain base that leaves room for targeted improvements: lighter wheels or more powerful brakes are the first upgrades we recommend.
| Model | Frame | Drivetrain | Fork | Weight (M) |
| Procaliber 8 (XT / SLX) | Alpha Platinum alloy | Shimano XT / SLX 1x12 | Recon Gold 120 mm | 12.78 kg |
| Procaliber 9.5 (Judy Gold) | OCLV Mountain, IsoBow | Shimano Deore 1x12 | Judy Gold 120 mm | 12.13 kg |
| Procaliber 9.6 | OCLV Mountain, IsoBow | SRAM Eagle 70 T-Type 1x12 | Fox Factory 34, 130 mm | 12.38 kg |
| Procaliber 9.7 (RSL tyres) | OCLV Mountain, IsoBow | Wireless SRAM GX AXS | SID 120 mm | 10.58 kg |
Our take: compared with the aluminium Procaliber 8, the 9.5 saves 650 g and gains IsoBow. The 9.6 moves to a 130 mm Fox Factory fork and Eagle 70 at 12.38 kg; the 9.7 drops to 10.58 kg with carbon wheels and wireless shifting.

LVR sizing advice This colour skips sizes M and ML: between S and L the gap is large, so check your height and inseam carefully. The S gets a 720 mm handlebar and a 100 mm post, the XL a 170 mm post.

| Which size: S, L or XL? | S from 155 to 165 cm, L from 177 to 188 cm, XL from 188 to 195 cm according to Trek. |
| Does IsoBow need servicing? | No, it is a frame shape with no pivot or bearing: no wear parts. |
| Which brakes for an upgrade? | The MT200s are enough to start with; four-piston brakes bring more power on descents. |
| Is the matt green delicate? | Clean it with a gentle, wax-free product so the matt areas do not turn shiny. |

The LVR Cycles verdict The most accessible carbon Procaliber, with a frame that already offers all the comfort of IsoBow and a sound base for upgrades. Its matt green set off with mercury grey has a discreet elegance.
